Community Partners Position Description #1
“Re-Use/Recycle” Program Developer/Manager
Start Date: ASAP
Up to two positions available. This position involves researching, co-creating, and implementing a re-use/recycle program at Sacks of Bozeman or Sacks of Belgrade for non-salable donations. Items considered for recycling include: unsuitable donations, processed donations that haven’t sold for over the course of a month or more, and waste generated within the store (i.e. glass, aluminum, paper). This position requires strong teamwork and communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and a strong desire to serve the local community. The candidate will learn the entire donations processing system at Sacks and will have access to computers, telephones, and other office equipment.

Employment Outreach for At-Risk Youth
Start Date: ASAP
One position available. This position assists the Sacks Volunteer Coordinator in working with Bozeman and Belgrade High Schools, Bridger Alternative School, Community Corrections, and other organizations in order to provide long-term, living wage employment at Sacks of Bozeman or Sacks of Belgrade. This will involve coordinating with Sacks staff and other relevant parties in recruiting, training, and mentoring students/at-risk youth.

Assistant to Volunteer Coordinator
Start Date: ASAP
One position available. With an integral role in the creation and implementation of the agency-
wide volunteer program, this position assists the Volunteer Coordinator in a variety
of tasks including, but not limited to: recruitment and training of volunteers for the Help Center
Crisis and 211 lines and for Sacks Thrift Stores, data entry, and participation in community events. Position can work out of Sacks in Bozeman or Belgrade. This position will allow for internships and/or course credit for college students.

“Community Give-Back” Program Coordinator
Start Date: ASAP
One position available. This position works with Sacks store manager and the volunteer coordinator to create and implement a charitable program for the local community using Sacks resources. Examples of possible programs include: restoring/enhancing old donated computers and “re-donating” them to a local school; collecting quality used books from donations and starting a book give-away program with a local school, homeless shelter, or hospital; or starting a “trash art” program for kids in the community using broken or non-salable donations. The Program Coordinator will create her own list of project ideas (with guidance from store manager and volunteer coordinator), choose the best candidate, and work to have the program implemented by the end of the service commitment. Position available at Sacks of Bozeman or Sacks of Belgrade.
